It’s interesting how different immigration is in America and Australia. In both countries, work usually plays an important part in immigration, but in very different ways. In America, immigrants often volunteer to do the unskilled work that no one else wants to do. By contrast, to immigrate to and work in australia, it is practically a requirement that you be able to do some sort of skilled labor that is in demand on the part of both employers and job seekers. Being a skilled worker isn’t mandatory to get a visa to live and work in Australia, but it’s extremely helpful, especially since Australia’s unemployment rate is currently quite low.
