Check hotel rates and the customer service

The last time we traveled, we did not compare hotel rates. Our trip was a disaster, of course. Had we shopped around instead of settling for a brand name, we would not only have found a decent rate, but we also would have found decent service. When we arrived in our rooms after an exhausting eight hour drive, the bathroom was dirty and the bed sheets had not been changed from the previous guests’ use. How do we know? Well, apparently they ordered room service and ate the food in the bed. Crumbs and pasta sauce stains were on the bottom sheet. My husband and I swiftly turned around a checked out.
