A Long Time In The Planning

Of all my children. the one I knew would do just what she said she would is Katrina.
At age seven she said she would travel one day, and I believed her.
She began to carefully collecting information and pictures from every country she wanted to visit. There was a picture of Big Ben, a poster of the Swiss Alps, and an Art Deco poster which stated, “Spain Hotels“.
During her summers she worked and saved her money. Two days after graduation from college she was off on her great adventure.
All summer I got postcards from Rome, Madrid, Paris, and other beautiful locations. She’d made her dream come true.
I never doubted she would, even for a minute.
