Who has the better remote options in Dish Network vs Direct TV?

When I look at all the remotes around my TV watching area, I get really confused. Even though I have 2 that are supposedly universal remotes, neither one runs the TV, DVD, VCR, Satellite, Volume, Channel selection, etc. In comparing the advantages of Dish Network vs Direct TV does one have a better remote control than the other? I want a user friendly Universal remote that runs EVERYTHING from one remote. It needs to have big enough buttons for me to read and to push easily. It needs to help me find what I am wanting not frustrate me to the point that I just give up watching what I had intended to. I am tired of having to call my son or husband from another part of the house to help me turn on the satellite, turn on the TV, start or stop the VCR or DVD, change the channel, change the volume or any other command that is beyond me in the haze of using remote controls.
