Bodybuilding vs. MMA Training Workout
October 31st, 2009 by admin
What is the difference between an MMA training workout and a bodybuilding routine? First of all, an MMA workout is full body using free weights and bodyweight exercises. Bodybuilding routines are generally body part splits incorporating many machines into the program. Secondly, mixed-martial arts training workouts are focused on improving strength and power, while bodybuilding workouts are designed to increase muscle mass. Another difference is that bodybuilding routines often require 4-5 days of weight training, while MMA workouts should only require 2-3 days per week. Finally, bodybuilding routines often make you sore and drain you of energy, while properly designed MMA training workouts don’t make you sore and you can still do your MMA skills training after.
