Of all types of Bible study methods, I think that book-by-book Bible study is the best. The reason I believe this is that it is very easy to distort the message and the meaning of the Bible when you only focus on small portions of it — strange sects and offbeat religious groups do this all the time. But when you endeavor to study your way through an entire book or section of the Bible, you are far less likely to twist its message to suit prevailing opinions and present-day fashions. Another way of looking at this is that the book study method is a scientific approach to the study of the Bible.
