Know your credit rating

A few years ago I had my wallet stolen. I lost all of my credit cards and my social security card. Ever since then I have always made it a point to keep an eye on my credit rating. At first I would check it to be sure that my social security number was not being used to open new accounts and to make sure my credit cards were not being used. Now I check it because it is important to know what your credit rating is and to see what companies have been looking at your credit. Having good credit is very important.
