I had heard that you can increase traffic to your blog with a free ping service. At first I had no idea what they were talking about. What in the world is a ping service? I soon found out that a ping service allows you to announce your blog updates to blog directories and aggregators.I also found out that not every free paying service was the same. A lot of the free ping services only contact a small number of ping servers. And, unfortunately, many of those ping servers no longer work. I did find one free ping service that hangs over 100 blog servers and almost all the servers respond.
