Your library is empty without longcase grandfather clocks.

I recently discovered my library room to have a stagnant empty feeling to it. I also discovered that every time I fell asleep during the day for a cat nap, it was in this room. I found a simple solution to this problem and it solved both of these problems. The asnwer was the addition of longcase grandfather clocks.

The first thing it did for the room was give it a complete change in appearance. Instead of a drearly room with nothing but dust covered wooden bookshelves that resembled a pulic library, the room now had a Sherlock Holmes, early 1900s, classy and tastefull feel to it. The stained wood on the clock accented the wooden book cases and the brown leather reclining chair.

This leads to the second problem being solved, sleeping. The comfortable leather chair always made me fall asleep for hours on end. With the new clock in place I set the chiming to every quarter hour and maximum volume. Now every time I get lost in fiction land and waste the day away, there is a loud chiming 8 foot tall clock there to pull me out of my literature world and ground me back into reality. I’ve since yet to fall asleep in my library.

These are a few of the wonders that grandfather clocks can bring to your household.
