The wider the holes, the the faster it will work.Fill the holes first with water, and then with nitrogen containing fertilizer. For example, you could use natural manure. If you’re using a chemical fertilizer instead, make sure the first of the 3 numbers of the fertilizer’s NPK is the highest.
