Looking for a Light Sewing Machine

I don’t really have a lot of space in my house, so I can’t leave my sewing machine out all the time. Usually I keep it stored until I have a few things I need to use it for and then I take it out for long enough to do the work and restore it. This means that I need a nice light sewing machine. Can anyone recommend a good one? So far I have heard about the Brother XL2230, and I am wondering if there are any options I can consider so that I have a few to choose from.
