Kitchen cabinet remodel

Refinishing kitchen cabinets is an art that can be learned. It isn’t quite as popular today as it used to be with today’s cheaper prefabricated cabinets, which can be purchased for about 1/3 of the cost. Because of this, the practice of refinishing has declined. I remember years ago, my father removiing all of our kitchen cabinets and taking them to the basement to refinish them. It took several weeks to get them all done, but the finished result was very nice. The down side is that it was so time consuming, and a pretty messy job. I think it may have been better to simply purchase new ones.
