Got Home Insulation - Now Need Gas Fire

I live in a rented property, a two bedroom bungalow. Recenty I got some home insulation, so as to keep it warmer in the winter months. Although central heating is installed, one thing I do miss at this house is a gas fire in the living room. It does seem strange not to have a fire. It means that when it goes colder we have to switch on central heating for the whole house. That is ok of course first thing in the morning, but, during the evening, I only need the one room keeping warm. Anyway, I have asked the landlord to fit a fire. Just waiting for his answer now.
