College state health insurance is needed

Why is it that my parent’s medical insurance policy could cover me for the first three years of my college education but not for the last two? My needs are no less now that I am in the university than they were when I was living at home and under my parents care. Now that I am on my own and my expenses have gone up astronomically, I have to add health care to my expenses. We should have a california state health insurance plan that would cover all students until they are out of school and able to earn a decent income. We need college graduates so we should help with their health care.
