For years it was thought that ulcers were caused by psychological disorders problems. Now we know they are cause by a microorganism, kind of a disease. Until it was discovered, there was no test to find it.
There are many disorders for which there are no adequate tests, the cause is unknown, there is no treatment. The diagnose is based on symptoms. Irritable bowel syndrome. Crohn’s Disease.
