I Still Want To Become A Fashion Designer

Ever since I was a young girl, I have always wanted to be involved in the world of fashion. In particular I have dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. I am currently in my first year of art college and it is incredibly hard work. When I get disillusioned I just remember all the times I argued with my mum when she wanted to dress me in pink fluffy stuff and I wanted big stripes and spots. Somehow we always managed to meet in the middle, but I was a stubborn, headstrong child. As I grew into a teenager I really did rebel. Everything I wore had to be black and I started to design my own clothes. Although my parents often described my designs in those days as rags not clothes!
