I had been trying to find out what a doumbek was. It was something I had read in a book and was curious about it. There are many different kinds, including aluminum, brass, metal, fiberglass, copper and wood as well as colors, to satisfy most any taste. My favorite is the mother of pearl doumbek. Now that I am taking belly dancing lessons, I think I should get one.
